- 1 head romaine lettuce
 - 1 can mandarin oranges
 - 1 cup chopped celery
 - 1 ripe avocado
 - 2-3 green onions, thinly sliced
 - 1 pkg (2-3 ounces) slivered almonds, candied
 
1. Place approximately 1/4 cup sugar and almonds in frying pan. Stir constantly over medium heat until almonds are coated and light brown. Quickly move almonds to wax paper until cooled.
Dressing:
- 1/4 cup sugar
 - 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
 - 1/4 cup vegetable oil
 - 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
